Creation must not be blocked, but rather, respected and used to open up a dialogue. Comedians must be able to uphold their artistic integrity while expressing themselves freely without the fear of being banished into the bowels of Hollywood for not conforming to its "standards". To be in an environment where creativity, humor, and intelligence is fully supported is a privilege that we want to extend to other like minded individuals, so they can share their opinions and their art with a greater audience.
In a time when going with the flow and stepping in line is preferred and applauded, it is those who persevere as individuals, who will make a difference. To persevere, in spite of an industry and its molds, to be authentic, in spite of our often bruised egos, to create, in spite of the weights placed upon us, and to share, in spite of those who don't want us to...that is the crux of what Hollywood Outlaws stands for.
