MISSION

Hollywood Outlaw Films is a Film and Television development and production company primarily focusing on Independent comedy that satirizes popular culture, trends and society.  Hollywood Outlaw Films will produce entertainment that audiences are ready for but studios shy away from. Not limited to features we include television, direct to DVD in fact any medium and format that our audience gets its entertainment form.  Hollywood Outlaw Films is positioned to take full advantage of the dramatic shifts that have occurred in the last few years in the production, marketing and distribution of entertainment.

THE COMPANY

Headquartered in Los Angeles, California. The Company is built around a core group of entertainment professional with talent and expertise needed to propel Hollywood Outlaw Films, Inc.  to success. The team consists of three individuals possessing an array of skills and experience including performance, writing, online and off-line promotions and marketing, senior management in large media companies, film and television production and post production. Internet technologies, business management and some nice tap dancing.

CONCEPT

Produce high quality material taking advantage of all the advances in digital filmmaking both in production and post production in order to deliver consistent high production quality, low production costs and projects that are targeted to receptive defined demographic in the appropriate media. Hollywood Outlaw Films, Inc. will also maximize profit by funding production and retaining full control and ownership of projects.

Maija Di Giorgio


Maija Di Giorgio is a director/editor who has worked in production and post production for tv, commercial and independent film. She is also a writer and stand up comedian who has received standing ovations on Showtime At the Apollo and Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam. She had her own morning show on the #1 radio station in the country, Hot 97, and has been featured on Sex in the City, Comics Unleashed, BET’s Comic View and numerous other TV appearances.

  

Maija recently starred, directed, and edited the film Hollywood Outlaw. Her first film, Bitter Jester, received rave reviews from Variety and the New York Times.  Maija just recently returned from The Edinburgh Fringe Festival where she debuted the Hollywood Outlaw Comedy Tour and is now touring Universities with her new show “America Dehoochified: The Smart Women’s Guide to Men” and “The White Person’s Guide-Free Guide to Black America”.   


At the helm of her company Hollywood Outlaw, Inc., Maija is preparing to go into production to direct her third film.

Paul Provenzano


Paul Provenzano is the former President and General Manager of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, the Video Games Industries non-profit professional Academy.  Paul is the creator of a successful ongoing interactive design conference, (D.I.C.E.).  He has produced an award show for broadcast as well as a DVD series on the process of Interactive Design.  At HBO Paul was an Exectutive Producer involved in developing the cable giant’s interactive and online strategies.  Provenzano was also part of the development team that created a proprietary optical motion capture system for special effects in films and TV and designed and directed a series of animations to demonstrate that technology which was presented at Siggraph, US, Nicograph  Tokyo, Arts Electronica, Linz, The London Film Effects festival to name a few. He was also the founding head of development for Twentieth Century Fox’s  interactive division, Fox Interactive, where he over saw the creation, development and marketing of over 60 interactive games including Alien vs. Predator, Die Hard Trilogy, The X Files and The Simpsons . Prior to Fox Paul was a freelance director, graphic designer and producer of music video, children’s television and commercials. Clients include PBS, Sesame Street, A&E, MTV, VH1, Warner Music, Sony, RCA/BMG, NHK Japan. Provenzano’s work has been featured at the Houston Film Festival, The New York Film Festival and is included in the permanent collection of the Musuem of Modern Art.

Heather McConnell, is partner in the Hollywood Outlaw  team. As co-producer of Hollywood Outlaw, the movie, Heather is also an actress, singer, dancer, and choreographer.  The Hollywood

Outlaw team first came together when Maija asked Heather to provide choreography for Maija's one woman show Rats!  Next Heather became a production assistant on Maija's first film. Soon Heather was holding the boom and before she knew it, Heather became completely devoted to the production of the film, setting aside all other endeavors to join the crew for their journey to LA.  As the production went on, Heather's jobs increased.  When Heather wasn't busy catering to every one's needs, she was setting up cameras and lights, filming B-roll, fixing all the paperwork, logging footage, assisting in the edit, and ordering takeout, As the film was readied for sale, Heather's knowledge of film making now included sales, marketing, licensing, and distribution. Before she knew it, the production assistant had become a co-producer. Along with her new business role, Heather recorded several musical pieces for the film Hollywood Outlaw.  Currently Heather is promoting and performing in Hollywood Outlaws new shows, The Smart Women's Guide to Men and The White Person's Guide to Black America and Vice Versa. Heather is also in pre-production with Hollywood Outlaws on a new feature, while  writing another film. After recording two musical pieces for the film Hollywood Outlaw, Heather is excited to begin work on her first CD.
